About Beau Carter
Beau Carter is a young regional filmmaker with a growing body of work in short films, music videos, and videography. Like many inland creatives, he had to relocate to a coastal city to study Screen and Media on campus, gaining valuable training and experience. Now based back in the region, Beau works as a videographer, often filming sports, while continuing to pursue his passion for storytelling on screen. He has directed and contributed to a number of Dubbo-based projects and is committed to building a strong filmmaking culture in regional NSW.
Showcased in inspire&ignite
Beau is currently working on Breakstone, his first short film since completing his Screen and Media studies at TAFE. Written and produced by Beau, the film will be shot in Dubbo with a cast of young local actors. Through inspire&ignite, Beau is receiving support to plan and resource the project, building his capacity as both a filmmaker and a producer. With a premiere screening event planned for later this year, Breakstone marks Beau’s most ambitious creative project to date and a significant step forward in his filmmaking journey.
